Harker Pottery was organized in 1840 and is the oldest pottery in the United States.
The Jeannette Glass Company purchased the Harker Company and the plant was closed in March, 1972.
Ohio Stoneware, Inc., utilized the plant building until it was destroyed by fire in 1975.
