Pattern is decorated with the well-known "Christmas Eve" motifs designed by internationally famous Cleveland artist Viktor Schreckengost. Made by Sadler (England) under contract from Salem China, for whom Viktor originally worked as a freelance designer. Original motifs were introduced in the 1950s.
The Salem China Company was founded in 1898 in Salem, Ohio. China production was discontinued in 1967.
Salem ceased all business when the plant burned a few years ago. |
