| Often
the name of the manufacture and/or pattern of dinnerware is not obvious.
This is particularly common when trying to match patterns of older china.
Fortunately, we have resources available to assist in pattern identification.
If you are
near Glasgow, Ky bring in a piece.
Please make an appointment before coming. We will try to identify the pattern for you. If you
are out of the area, send us a photo or other image of the piece.
If you send a piece of the china, please send a damaged unreturnable piece.
Here are some tips that will
help us to research your pattern--
DINNERWARE and/or CRYSTAL PATTERNS
- Please send by regular mail or email
a color photograph or photocopy of the front and back of a dinner plate.
- Black and white copies are often sufficient if you describe the colors but we prefer photos in color.
- If you are interested in replacing cups and/or saucers in your pattern, please send a picture or drawing of the cup style in addition to the copy of the dinner
plate.
- You may also e-mail a graphics file. Send the file to Pattern Identification
in a .jpg/.JPG, or .gif/.GIF format.
- If you choose to send an actual piece of china, send a non-returnable damaged piece if possible.
- Since pieces were often made in a variety of sizes, please indicate the size of the pieces you are interested in purchasing or selling.
- Any photo sent to Robbins Nest via email, snail mail or in person becomes the property of Robbins Nest to use in any matter we find useful. No photos are returned to sender.
