C Tielsch Altwasser Germany, Pattern CTI22 China Replacements, Tableware
Replacement China in the Porzellanfabrik C. Tielsch & Co., pattern Cti22 made in Altwasser Germany.
Porzellanfabrik C. Tielsch & Co., 1845 until 1917 - Altwasser originally was a small town six kilometers to the north of Waldenburg (today Wałbrzych) but between 1920 and 1928 it slowly became a part of it.
Tielsch changed the eagle stamp in 1850 after complaints from KPM. He chose a dove with a twig in its beak seeming to 'crash dive'. Of course, it could still be mistaken for the 'KPM eagle', but for the ministers it was different enough to please them and further complaints from KPM Berlin were turned down.
