Homer Laughlin China, Chelsea, China Replacements
Replacement China in the Chelsea patterns made by Homer Laughlin China.
The Chelsea shape was a product of the early 1930´s. Chelsea has some of the visual design elements of
Virginia Rose and was made by both Homer Laughlin and Taylor, Smith & Taylor. It was Taylor, Smith & Taylor who produced the shapes in a more extensive tableware line, with their backstamp predominately displayed. Chelsea was made by both manufacturers for use by Quaker Oats. It was a short lived shape with only a few pieces made.
