The Empress shape tableware patterns were introduced in 1914 and was a popular shape for many years. Empress was made in an undecorated white glaze and white glaze with decorations. It was also produced in solid colors. The Empress shape was advertised as first quality American pure white semi-porcelain in plain edge shape.
