Homer Laughlin China, Genesee, China Replacements
Replacement China in the Genesee patterns made by Homer Laughlin China.
Records indicate that the Genesee shape of Homer Laughlin China probably had a long run of production but the exact dates of production are unknown.
This shape was sold to Sperry & Hutchinson (the producers of S&H green stamps)
in 1911 and S. H. Kress purchased this shape in 1912.
Genesee is a very plain, solid shape which has no embossing. It´s hollow ware is
smooth with graceful curves identical to the Niagara shape. The flatware has a
smooth edge on round and oval shapes (unlike Niagara whose flatware has a
scalloped edge).
