Fredrick Rhead designed the Jade shape in 1932. Jade was dipped in a vellum glaze which is a soft ivory glaze, and also in a Clair de Lune glaze which is described as having the hue of moonlight. A 1933 spring issue of a Sears Roebuck catalog lists a 32 piece set of Jade for $7.95.
