Brief History: Semi-porcelain dinnerware was attempted for the first time in Japan in 1905. The company Nihon Koshitsu Toki Co., Ltd started operations in Pusan Korea to further its production in 1917.
America starting importing Nikko china in 1968 and in 1983 Nihon Koshitsu Toki Co., Ltd changed its name to Nikko China Company. Nikko China is still manufactured today in Japan, Malaysia and Thailand.
