The Paden City Pottery was founded in 1907 by George Lasell in Paden City, WV.
In December of 1923, Paden City´s plain white semi-porcelain dinnerware in the Ranson shape was ready for delivery. - Paden City is credited with originating the underglaze decal and the Caliente colored glaze. - By 1949 Paden City Pottery had six tunnel kilns and personnel totaling 800. Paden City Pottery closed in the 1950´s.
