Homer Laughlin China, Sunrise China Replacement

Homer Laughlin China, Sunrise china patterns made exclusively for Sears & Roebuck.

Sunrise 1929 - The Sunrise trademark was used exclusively in 1929 and 1930 by Sears Roebuck to advertise dinnerware. The Laughlin shapes sold under the Sunrise trademark were Republic, Yellowstone, Empress, Kwaker and Newell. The following advertisement appeared in a 1930 catalog for some of the Homer Laughlin shapes sold under the Sunrise mark.

"Sunrise" is made in the world's largest and most scientifically equipped pottery from the best clays and glazes obtainable, producing in the finished products a degree of excellence usually not approached in dinnerware sold elsewhere at such low prices. "Sunrise" is strictly hand-picked, first selection American china (semi-porcelain). The "Sunrise" brand is placed only on first quality dinnerware.
